Virtual Microscope and Slide Viewer
About the Virtual Microscope
The virtual Microscope is a 3D simulation designed by the Auburn Online creative and software development teams to enable students to interact with and learn the functionality of a microscope. This simulation is designed to be as realistic and intuitive as the experience of using an actual microscope would be so that not only the learning process would be more engaging but also the students would learn how to operate an actual microscope.

About the Slide Viewer
The virtual Slide Viewer is a 3D simulation designed by the Auburn Online creative and software development teams to enable students to immerse in the real digital slide images, but within their existing online course environment. Students are be able to access the slides and use the same kinds of controls that they would use with a real microscope, such as selecting the magnification, adjusting the focus, and controlling the luminosity.
Faculty can easily add more slide images as needed. What’s more, instructors can record annotated videos of themselves using the slide viewer, allowing them to walk students through the slide content, just as they would in a face-to face setting.
